In-shelter instructors enter a partner youth shelter in their local chapter and deliver class instruction or an educational workshop to residents. This can be a one-time offering or a longer-term commitment, with an average length of 1-1.5 hours per workshop. There are both paid and volunteer opportunities available. To learn more about the specific availability of each opportunity, please contact us.
Our customized in-shelter health and fitness program would not be possible without the support of our enthusiastic, engaged instructors. If you have extensive community experience, a proven instructional background, and a passion for helping others, apply to become an in-shelter instructor today.
