We are grateful for the following business development partners in aiding the success of Bootcamps for Change #SweatierForTheBetter
My team and I continue to be impressed with the mission of Bootcamps for Change, and most especially, the drive and vision of the company’s founder. Throughout our cohort operations, her heart - and her experience as with youth homelessness - combined with an innovative program design and roadmap positions the company to improve the quality of life of thousands and support both families and economic development across the country and hemisphere.
Bootcamps for Change has been an impactful addition to our community of social entrepreneurs. The Bootcamps for Change team is always available to support their peers and often goes beyond to ensure that they make a positive contribution to the community. It is evident that the founder has an unquestionable passion for at-risk youth empowerment, and social entrepreneurship. We look forward to continue seeing them in action and to the impact they will generate towards a better society.
We were blown away at the innovation behind the Bootcamps for Change programs to break the cycle of homelessness by driving up-skilling and entrepreneurialism in youth to empower their lives for the better with a 100% success rate. There's a reason that this organization is one of the Fast Company's most innovative ideas...the impact of the program in transforming the lives of youth is what we wanted to get behind and support.
Bootcamps for Change has been participating in our winter cohort and has a natural affinity to supporting, connecting, and collaborating with others. They remove barriers for at-risk youth who may not otherwise have opportunities to access meaningful health resources or fitness industry education. The Bootcamps for Change team is well-suited to address this challenge, Katie having 10+ years of working with at-risk youth, and being a certified fitness industry professional herself. Opportunities to collaborate will help her business grow, creating a larger social impact for youth experiencing homelessness in Canada and beyond.
Bootcamps for Change participated as a challenge issuer for HSBC Social Innovation Academy, where they led a team of 4 SIA Fellows through an 8-week challenge around various facets of the business. My team and I were thoroughly impressed with the passion for the work that they do and their leadership abilities. Our Fellows benefited thoroughly from Katie's mentorship and exposure to the complex issues faced by youth experiencing homelessness. The Bootcamps for Change team brought out the best in SIA Fellows, and we were all proud of the work that they did together.
Toronto Enterprise Fund (TEF) was pleased to have Bootcamps for Change graduate from our ESE Idea Accelerator program! We support employment social enterprises (ESEs), businesses that exist to train and employ people facing barriers to the labour market. As a graduate of TEF’s Accelerator, they are equipped with tools to build a strong employment model, business idea, operations plan, and financial projections. Additionally, they are passionate about and committed to supporting youth experiencing homelessness to develop employability skills and good health. We look forward to following the growth of Bootcamps for Change #SweatierForTheBetter in the coming years!
